Our purpose is to develop self-sufficiency, leadership, and self-respect through education and training. HSC provides information referral, advocacy, youth services, tobacco reduction workshops, language and cultural education, consultation, citizenship, immigration, and translation/interpretation services to the refugee/immigrants and new Americans comities in the Lake Winnebago Area. The Association works collaboratively with over 30 non-profit and profit agencies to improve the quality of life for the minorities in its service area. In its 24 years of operation, HSC has consistently fulfilled the needs of the refugees/immigrants and new Americans community through education and services. HSC is centrally located for the convenient and easy access by its clients. Currently, there are about 4,000 refugees/immigrants and former refugees residing in Winnebago, Fond du Lac, and Green Lake counties. The needs of these refugees/immigrants are still immense.
